Why Rubber Gym Flooring?

Rubber is the gold standard for gym flooring. Unlike foam mats that compress and degrade quickly, or vinyl that cracks under heavy weights, rubber gym matting provides the perfect combination of shock absorption, durability, and grip. It protects your subfloor from damage, reduces noise complaints from neighbours, and creates a professional gym environment that motivates better workouts.

Installation Guide

Preparation: Ensure subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Sweep thoroughly to remove dust and debris.

Acclimatization: Unroll matting and leave for 24 hours in the installation area to allow it to relax and acclimatize.

Installation: Lay matting with textured side up. For permanent installation, use double-sided carpet tape or rubber flooring adhesive around perimeter and seams. For temporary use, the weight is usually sufficient.

Seams: Butt edges tightly together. For professional finish, use seam sealer or tape.

Thickness Guide

  • 6mm: Ideal for cardio areas, light weights, yoga, Pilates, general fitness
  • 10mm: Recommended for heavy lifting, Olympic weights, CrossFit, powerlifting, commercial gyms

Care & Maintenance

Daily: Sweep or vacuum to remove dust and debris.

Weekly: Mop with mild detergent solution. Avoid harsh chemicals that can degrade rubber.

Stains: Clean spills immediately. For stubborn marks, use rubber floor cleaner.
